To ensure that our portfolios remain on target, we have developed a system of overlapping responsibilities incorporating the investment team, senior management and the risk management team. Fund monitoring is a crucial component of our investment process and is conducted through an on-going and formalised review process, which analyses important factors to identify problems before they impact performance. Potential issues are changes in strategy or portfolios not aligned with strategy, departure of key professionals or addition of new managers, rapid growth or asset base no longer aligned with the strategy, change in key service providers or deterioration of internal systems and processes, difference between achieved and expected returns.
